Rahul and Sheena were believed to be in a live-in relationship. The public prosecutor explained to court that a section of the IT Act was added because they had allegedly created a fake e-mail ID in Sheena Bora’s name to cover up her absence and to send mails to relatives and friends to make everybody believe that she was alive.The CBI, late on Thursday evening, filed an over-1,000-page chargesheet against Indrani Mukerjea, her former husband Sanjeev Khanna finger sprayer Manufacturers and former driver Shyamvar Rai in the Sheena Bora murder case.According to CBI sources, the chargesheet includes around 200 documents along with forensic reports. Rahul Mukerjea, stepson of Indrani is amongst the witnesses whose statement was recorded before the magistrate. The chargesheet was brought to court in the absence of the accused and hence the copy of it would be handed over to all three accused on Friday when they are expected to be produced before the court..
All the three accused have been charged with criminal conspiracy, murder of Sheena Bora, attempt to murder Mikhail Bora, abduction, destruction of evidence, forgery, cheating and relevant sections of the Information Technology Act.The CBI sources said that statements of around 150 witnesses is part of the chargesheet and some of the witnesses have recorded their statements before the magistrate, which means that they cannot tu hostile. Other witnesses include the shopkeeper from Dadar from whose shop suitcases were bought to dispose of Sheena’s body, the owner of the automobile showroom at Worli from where Rai had picked up their rented car, the employee of the petrol pump from where Rai had bought the petrol to bu her body and the person who had created Sheena’s fake hotmail ID.Advocate Kavita Patil, on behalf of CBI, told the court that the investigating agency is submitting the chargesheet along with relevant documents but the officers were still waiting for some reports to arrive and hence those reports would be filed by way of a supplementary chargesheet.
